MP Dinesh Gunawardena at a public rally held in Ampara today stated that the current government has put a stop to development projects.
He noted that the government that came in to power only recently halted all development projects carried out by the previous government, and that they stopped all projects carried out in village areas as well as stopping the distribution of monetary aid.
He added that because of this, the development of the country will be weakened while the income of skilled laborers will also come to a halt. He said when these projects are stopped, the economy will gradually weaken and the country will head in to an economic crisis.
The MP said that if these projects stop, it will be the public that will have bear the losses.
