Enraged elephant ends Kekirawa rescue mission on a different note

A mission to rescue a wild elephant fallen in to a pit in Alagollawa, Kekirawa resulted in several vehicles of the Department of wildlife sustaining damages.

The wild elephant, who was rescued after hours of relentless efforts, had attempted to attack the wildlife officers and the locals.

The wild elephant had fallen in to a pit located at the foot of the Ritigala Mountain. Later officers from the Beettuwa Reserve Officein Moragoda has arrived at the location and launched a rescue mission.

The wild elephant that had come out of the pit had then caused damages to several vehicles.
