Syrian government airstrikes kill 67 – monitoring group (Watch video)

According to a monitoring group, 67 civilians were killed in airstrikes by the Syrian government in Homs and Idlib.

Amateur video said to be have been filmed on Monday the 8th of June purported to show bodies lying on the streets of Al-Janudieh in Western Idlib, and wounded children being rescued from the rubble of collapsed buildings.

It is unable to independently verify the content of this video which was obtained from a social media website.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which tracks violence across the country, claims that ten women and six children were among 49 civilians killed in the village of Al-Janudieh.

A second video purported to show destruction near Homs on Sunday . Wounded people can be seen being carried out of a destroyed building.

The British-based Observatory said the Syrian regime had dropped barrel bombs on the city of Al-Rastan, north of Homs, killing 18 civilians.
