Organisers of the United National Party say that an issue has arisen within the party’s Theldeniya electorate bala mandalaya. The UNP Bala Mandalaya meeting of the Theldeniya electorate was held under the auspices of the former Governor of Kandy Raja Pushpakumara.

Former organizer of the Ududumbara electorate for the UNP Dinesh Kapukotuwa stated that if the Theldeniya electorate is not given to either Raja Pushpakumara or to himself, then it must be given to a Theldeniya pradeshiya sabha member and it is then that votes can be cast without any problem.

He further added that if this is not done this then, it will be made sure that the electorate is defeated. He further noted that it was thought this that 10,000 pounds will be given to the party leader. He also noted that his brother worked for Sirikotha, and that he is still the chairman there but not even 5 cents will be given to the United National Party if they are creating differences, and that instead it would’ve been better to go work for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

Pushpakumara stated that the former president called while being at the former president’s residence and asked what needs to be done and that he will do it. He added that this was it and that he did not visit the president’s house after that day and that since he was the governor at that time the president made calls on several occasions asking if the former governor would like to join them and contest under the president’s party, and that a good position will be given. He finally noted that whenever their party leader was in trouble the bala mandalaya was always there.
