The Ceylon Teacher Services Union has urged the people to protest against the recent rape and murder of a school girl in Jaffna.
General Secretary of Ceylon Teacher Services Union Mahinda Jayasinghe said that all 225,000 teachers and 15,000 principals across the country have a responsibility to ensure the safety of children around the country.
“It is also the responsibility of every parent of every child to care for every child in the country like their own and ensure their safety. It is with this in mind that we ask everyone to protest the murder of this girl . Therefore we urge you to protest against this brutal murder and gang rape,” he said.
