Minister of Housing and Samurdhi Sajith Premadasa has made a request from the opposition to let the government carry out their work without any hindrances.
The minister expressed the following views:
”Whenever they get on stage, like a prayer, they chant that we should all think about the country. What you are doing today too is chant various lies and create a non-existent disharmony and problems in the country. Which is why I would like to ask you to, for god’s sake, admit the fact that a president was elected in this country with a majority of four hundred thousand votes. Please do not spread lies and pull him by his leg. Let him do his work. This is the biggest act of treason that you will be committing by causing such conspiracies. There is no division within our country. There is no discrimination.”
The minister made this statement at an event which held to commence the construction of a road from the Kasingama junction in Tissamaharama to Magama at a cost of Rs.276 million.
