The Ministry of Labour has taken steps to allow members of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) who have completed ten years to withdraw 30 percent from their EPF account.
Minister S.B Navinna stated that this would be implemented from May 27.
In order to be eligible for the scheme, a member need to have paid EPF for ten consecutive years and should have over Rs.300,000 in his or her EPF account.
