37 Indian Fishermen who were released from the custody of Sri Lankan authorities have been handed over to the Indian Coastguard.
The Hindu reported that the fishermen were handed over to Indian officials beyond the International Maritime Boundary Line, off Point Pedro.
The Sri Lankan Navy arrested the Fishermen on the 3rd of April along with 5 fishing vessels when they strayed into Sri Lankan waters off Point Pedro.
The fishermen were later released based on a court order.
