Minister of Rural Economic Affairs S.B. Dissanayake responded to the statement made by the Prime Minister regarding the court’s decision on Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The Minister said that when there is an absence of one Supreme Court judge, the usual tradition is that the court be adjourned and that the case be taken up on a different date when all three supreme court judges are present adding that he feels that the fact that two of them reaching a verdict is a big problem.
Minister S.B. Dissanayake made this statement when he called on the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter of Siam Sect Most Ven. Sri Aththadassi Thero on Saturday morning to look into the Theros well-being.
