United Peoples Freedom Alliance parliamentarian Dullas Allahapperuma states that in order to wipe out corruption, punishment must be meted out regardless of position.
The parliamentarian expressed this view whilst addressing a function in Yakkalamulla, galle.
The MP said that if there’s an instance of corruption, theft, fraud of state property to punish them adding that it does not matter what party they are from or what position they hold.
The Minister also said that the CID had called him and wanted a statement with regard to a complaint they had received saying he had insulted the national flag adding that he got into the dock for the first time in his life.
The parliamentarian expressed these views whilst speaking at a memorial held on behalf of Former Minister Amarasiri Dodamgoda.
