UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena announced at a media briefing held on Tuesday April 21, that a no-confidence motion would be brought against the Finance Minister.
UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena says that Central Bank sources say that foreign reserves have fallen from 8.2 to 6.8 and that they have been unable to issue sovereign bonds in the international market and raise the necessary funds.
The Minister went on to say that grave mistrust has arisen regarding the financial market, the capital market, the share market and the debt market in this country.
Speaking further, MP Gunawardena adds that they will bring a no-confidence motion regarding the failure of the Finance Minister to fulfill his responsibilities and will sign it and submit it to Parliament.
