Bangladesh scored their highest ODI total against Pakistan on Friday (April 17th) during match in Mirpur, Bangladesh.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first and went on to score a massive 329 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
The first two Bangladeshi wickets fell within 67 runs however Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim put on 178 runs for the third wicket, guiding the hosts to their massive score.
Tamim Iqbal scored his 5th ODI Century with 132 runs while his comrade Mushfiqur Rahim went on to score his 3rd ODI century.
Pakistan’s Wahab Riyaz bagged four wickets at the end of his 10 over spell conceding 59 runs.
Pakistan got off to a disastrous start loosing the first wicket of Sarfraz Ahmed within 24 runs.
Skipper Azhar Ali scored his 5th ODI half century during his 72 run knock, however he did not receive the support of any other batsman and the unpredictable Pakistani team was bundled out for 250 runs in 45.2 overs. Bangladesh went on to record a 79 run win.
