Ministry of Arts and Culture Development said that steps have been taken to protect the ancient forts of Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Arts Culture Development Secretary, A.D.S Malkanthi said that accruing from this, the Galle Fort which is a world heritage site is in the final stages of its preservation.

Malkanthi added that the preservation of the Jaffna Fort will also commence in the future.
