A fish elegant in appearance but toxic in nature and quite rare in Sri Lanka was found in the Hambantota area by a group of fishermen.
According to our correspondent the lion fish, considered an invasive species in the west Atlantic and the Caribbean, was discovered by a group of prawn fishermen.
The lion fish also known as the Zebra fish or Pterois, have few identified natural predators, likely from the effectiveness of their venomous spines and unique tentacles.
