A group of employees of the Godakawela District Hospital staged a demonstration on Wednesday.

The group staged their demonstration, obstructing the Ratnapura – Embilipitiya main road, charging that their daily functions are hampered due to the dilapidated state of the ambulance at the hospital.

The group dispersed after a promise was made that a solution will be provided during discussions with political representatives and the Health Director in the area Kapila Kannangara.
