Transportation was obstructed in the Bata – Atha area after a tree fell across the Kataragama – Matara road at 7.30 a.m. on Sunday, April 5.

A two-hour road block ensued as a result of this situation. Vehicles were not able to pass the area. The tree was removed as police and residents worked together to rectify the situation.
