The video titled My Choice and featured by Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has gone viral in social media, accruing more than three million views in the three days since it was posted online by fashion magazine Vogue.
My Choice directed by Homi Adajania of Cocktail and Finding Fanny fame, features the 29-year-old Deepika Padukone as a brand ambassador for women’s empowerment.
The video which lasts a little less than three minutes, features Deepika calling for a change in the “caged” mindset of men about women.
The video asks men to stop judging women for their choices of clothes, profession, life, or anything else.
This video features 99 Mumbai women from different fields of life asserting their right to make political, sexual and economic choices.
Ms Padukone says that “My choice, to love a man, or a woman, or both. Remember, you are my choice. I am not your privilege,”
