The Consumer Affairs Authority has offered a reward to the public in exchange for information regarding vendors who break the law during the festive season.
Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Authority Rumy Marzook said vendors are prohibited from selling goods that are unsuitable for consumption, and withholding any essential goods.
The authority added that instant action will be taken against such traders and a unit has also been established for this purpose.
If there are any complaints regarding such vendors, the public is requested to call 011 3 13 44 46, 011 77 55 481 and 077 10 88 922.
