A twenty-one-year-old has sustained serious injuries in a shooting that took place in the Pilana area in Habaraduwa, Galle.

The Police Media Unit said that the victim was shot at around 7.45 on Wednesday  night, in front of his residence in the Moragolla area in Pilana.

The victim has been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment. The suspect in connection to the incident has not yet been identified but investigations are underway to do so and arrest him.
