The Bill on the 19th Amendment to the Constitution will be presented to Parliament on Tuesday, March 24.
Deputy Government Whip Ajith P. Perera, speaking to News1st said that starting today, the public will receive the opportunity to file petitions before courts on this matter.
Our parliamentary correspondent said that after the bill is presented to parliament, it will be included into the parliamentary agenda resulting in a debate on a future date.
He added that although the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was to be presented at the House of Legislature as an emergency bill, according to reports, it will be presented as a normal bill on Tuesday.
