A decision has been reached to summon former Secretary to the ministry of External Affairs Kshenuka Seneviratne, who was recently appointed as the Sri Lankan ambassador to Thailand, before the High Posts Committee in Parliament.
Speaking during the Satana political program on our sister channel Sirasa TV, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ajith P. Perera stated that the subject minister issued written instructions on Thursday (March 19th) summoning Ksenuka Seneviratne before the committee
The Deputy Minister noted that the committee consists of representatives from all political parties including the JVP.
Commenting on the audit report pertaining to the renovation of the official residence of the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka in Geneva in 2009, Ajith P. Perera stated that he is in possession of the document adding that an investigation should be held into its contents.
The audit report charges that renovation work for the official residence in question was awarded to LTTE affiliates. Ksenuka Seneviratne served as the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka in Geneva during this period.
