Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake says that if it is proven that the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Arjuna Mahendran engaged in any malpractice or any act of corruption, he would be brought before the law and locked up.
The deputy minister made this statement to the media after arriving at the bribery commission on Friday (March 20th) to lodge several complaints and to inquire into complaints he had lodged previously.
Speaking on the recent scandal surrounding the CBSL Governor, Ramanayake noted that an investigation has been launched by a three member committee and assured the public that justice would be meted out.
