Australia strolled to victory over Scotland in match number 40 of the ICC Cricket World Cup played in Hobart on Saturday.
Winning the toss the Australians opted to field first. Four wickets from Mitchell Starc in just 4.4 overs and conceding just 14 runs with James Faulkner bagging 3 wickets ensured that Australia bundled out the Scots for a faulty 130 in 25.4 overs.
Matt Machan was the only Scottish batsman to show some resilience against the Aussie pace attack, scoring 40.
Seeing the target as a walk in the park, the Aussies made a few changes in their batting order with captain Michael Clarke opening the batting alongside Aaron Finch.
Clarke however, was denied of a half century as he was caught off the bowling of Iain Wardlaw for 47.
Australia lost the wickets of Finch and Shane Watson thereafter but still reached their target in just 15.2 overs to clinch a comfortable seven-wicket victory.
