Guitarist of the metal band “Slipknot”, Mick Thomson, who is also known as “Number Seven” to the fans of the band has been admitted to a hospital in Iowa together with his brother.

The Clive Police Department had confirmed that an early morning scuffle between Mick and his younger brother Andrew caused serious yet non-life-threatening injuries to the duo. Thomson had sustained a knife injury on the back of his head. Police further stated that alcohol was involved in the altercation.

Meanwhile, Slipknot has not issued a comment but the band’s front-man Corey Taylor had tweeted updates on the incidents.

The metal band is currently in the midst of a world tour that resumes in the United States in July to promote the group’s fifth album, 5: The Gray Chapter which reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart last fall.
