Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj arrived in the country on Friday afternoon, on a two-day official visit, seen as a pre-cursor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit scheduled for March 13.
Minister Sushma Swaraj is slated to hold talks with President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and senior officials of the government.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the visiting Indian External Affairs Minister will also hold rounds of talks with political party representatives including representatives of the Tamil National Alliance.
