The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board has called for the resignation of a UPFA member of the Aranayake Pradeshiya Sabha who was charged with the possession of Marijuana. The board said that they had made a written request in this regard.
The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board adds that if the politician in question fails to resign within three days, they will be compelled to inform President Maithripala Sirisena in this regard.
UPFA Aranayake Pradeshiya Sabha member Stanley Tillakeratne who allegedly possessed Marijuana in his person, was released on a Rs. 5000 bail by court.
