This perfectly timed picture would have popped up in your twitter feed a number of times.It’s a picture of a weasel riding a woodpecker. And it’s pretty incredible.

This picture taken by an amateur wildlife photographer Martin Le-May poses a question whether is it possible for a woodpecker to carry a weasel on its back?

The image of the wide-eyed bird and was taken at Hornchurch country park in Essex.

The photographer has spotted the bird with the small mammal on its back, and took a series of photographs as the startled pair flew past.

Though it seems like a friendship between these two it goes onto say that  its not a tale of two besties. It os a battle for survival. The weasel in the picture is trying to eat the woodpecker.

The woodpecker battles for survival to new heights as it soars into the air with the baby weasel on its back.
