President says Joint Task Force will be created to prevent kidney diseases (Watch report)

Speaking at an event held in Colombo on Wednesday, President Maithripala Sirisena said that a joint task force will be created for the prevention of kidney diseases with the collaboration of eight ministries.

The President also stated that this joint task force will function under the Presidential Secretariat.

The event was held to felicitate those who contributed towards the Kidney Disease Prevention Fund which was formulated under a conceptualisation of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Meanwhile, three newly-appointed ambassadors to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday morning.

The Ambassadors designate of Georgia, North Korea and China presented their credentials to the President.
