The controversial, much spoken about Colombo Port City project, was once again the topic of discussion at an event held in Colombo, on Tuesday.
Deputy Minister of Highways, Higher Education and Investment Promotion, Eran Wickramaratne, who presided as the Chief Guest at the event, highlighted the secondary issues of the Port City project that would materialize, once it is implemented.
The Deputy Minister said that he is not going to make any particular comment on the Port City development in Colombo as the whole project is being reviewed. He went onto note that around 300,000 people would eventually live on the area designated for the project and predicted that this would give rise to infrastructure issues specially with regard to sewage disposal
