An audit has been launched to look into irregularities that allegedly took place at the National Housing Development Authority in the recent past. According to chairman, Lakvijaya Sagara Palansuriya the investigation was launched based on the instructions of Minister of Housing and Samurdhi, Sajith Premadasa .
Sagara Palansuriya speaking to News1st stated that an international audit firm has come forward to offer their services free of charge for this purpose. The Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority noted that those found guilty of irregularities would be brought to justice.
