A felicitation ceremony for services rendered to peace and reconciliation by Minister Rajitha Senaratne was held in Colombo on Friday.

Minister Rajitha Senaratne was presented with a medal and an award at the ceremony organised by the Peace Foundation.

Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne shared the following  views:

If this country is to be taken forward, the racists and extremists should be eradicated from this country first. This country cannot be built with racists and extremists.

He added that if that humanity is to be given away for the sake of race and religion, then it is disrespectful to all humanity, and the pride of Sri Lanka only can be built with pride of all Sinhala, Muslim, Tamil and Burgher communities.
