The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka or AMCHAM has planned for an interactive meeting between leading Sri Lankan and American companies.
Speaking to News 1st, General Manager of AMCHAM, Radika Obeysekara said that the meeting will provide an opportunity for ministers to have an insight into the trade and investments.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka will bring together more than 344 members representing 230 leading Sri Lankan and American companies engaged in trade, business and investment activities between Sri Lanka and the United States of America.
It will be hosting an interactive business breakfast meeting with Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Finance on February 24.
General Manager of AMCHAM, Radika Obeysekara said that the significance of this event is to give the AMCHAM membership an opportunity to meet with the key ministers holding the key portfolios relating to trade and investment and to obtain first hand valuable insight into the policies under their respective portfolios and to basically hear from them as to what the government has in store for the business community.
AMCHAM Sri Lanka incidentally maintains close relationships with decision-makers from the US and Sri Lankan Governments, trade bodies, national and regional Chambers of Commerce.
