A woman who allegedly engraved on the Sigiriya Mirror Wall has been arrested by the police.

The twenty-seven-year-old suspect has been identified as a resident of Sittandy area in Eravur,  Batticaloa who was on an excursion on Saturday afternoon.

Archaeologists had lodged a complaint with the police that the woman in question had written a few letters with the use of a hair pin.

She is expected to be presented before the Dambulla Magistrate on Sunday.
