The team led by  Elton Chicumbura went on to reach the target in 45.2 overs with 7 wickets to spare.

During the second warm-up match against New-Zealand on the 9th of February, the Zimbabwe camp led by Dav Whatmore, had the kiwis struggling at 157 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 30.1 overs before rain brought the match to a halt.
