Sri Lanka batting first posted a score of 279 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at the end of the 50th over. T.M. Dilshan and Angelo Mathews who have been scoring consistently for Sri Lanka over the past few months did not bat in Wednesday’s game.

The Zimbabweans were never bothered by the Sri Lankan bowling attack as they cruised to their target thanks to an unbeaten century by Hamilton MasaKadaza and half centuries by Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams.
The team led by Elton Chicumbura went on to reach the target in 45.2 overs with 7 wickets to spare.
During the second warm-up match against New-Zealand on the 9th of February, the Zimbabwe camp led by Dav Whatmore, had the kiwis struggling at 157 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 30.1 overs before rain brought the match to a halt.
