Minister of Finance Ravi Karunayake says that he hopes to see Japan become the biggest donor to Sri Lanka again especially through trade.
He made this statement at an event held to donate $ 1.5 million worth of canned fish in support for school meal programmes and other interventions.
The finance minister also said that they are trying to their best for those people who have been oppressed for a long time.
Japanese Ambassador Nobuhito Hobo underlined that Japan will continue to support and grant its assistance to war torn areas and other areas for the sake of balanced development in Sri Lanka.
