The most anticipated event in the Cricket Calendar, the ICC Cricket World Cup is a mere sixteen days away.
Not only does Sri Lanka have a new bowling consultant, many other teams too are exploring avenues to boost their chances of winning the most coveted trophy in Cricket.
Former Sri Lankan fast bowler Rumesh Ratnayake has been appointed as a Consultant to join the national team currently in New Zealand.
According to Sri Lanka Cricket, the appointment was made targeting the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Ratnayake will be joining the squad from February 4 – 20.
Chairman of the National Selection Committee Sanath Jayasuriya said that Rumesh Ratnayake will also serve with Chaminda Vaas as a Bowling Coach for a period of three weeks
