President Maithripala Sirisena met with a group of representatives from leftist parties at the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday evening.
Senior Representatives from the Lanka Sama Samaja Party, Communist Party and the Democratic Left Front were present for this meeting.
During these discussions, the President thanked the group for their support in the presidential elections and spoke about the future activities of the government.
The Presidential Media Unit noted that the group also tabled issues that their relevant parties had to face within their parties, at the concluded presidential election.
