Speaking at an event held in Anamaduwa in Puttalam on Sunday, Minister of State for Power and Energy, Palitha Range Bandara, noted that the opposition has been quick to criticise the 100-day programme of the government, a mere twenty days into it.
The event was held to mark the opening of an office of the Ministry of Power and Energy in the Anamaduwa area.
Speaking at the event, Minister of State for Power and Energy, Palitha Range Bandara expressed the following views:
Vasudeva Nanayakkara says that this is not a national government. Former Minister Dinseh Gunawardena says that we said the fuel price would be reduced to Rs.50 in the 100 days and he is asking what happened to the missing zeros. For nineteen to twenty years these people were giving the people nothing but zeros. After losing government, they are levelling unfair criticisms. We will fulfill the promise made to the people. It is not a 20-day promissory note. It is a 100-day promissory note. They should be ashamed.
