Addressing a rally in the Kotahera area in Avissawella yesterday Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka stated that there will be no escape for individuals who engaged in fraud and corrupt activities.
The minister stated that the people are now confused as to what would happen to the politicians who have joined the current government. He reassured the public that all perpetrators will be brought to book through an institution which will be set up during the first cabinet meeting of the new government.
Minister Ranawaka added that 10,000 police officers and coordinating officers have been tasked with investigating various crimes and bringing perpetrators before the law. He urged the public to provide the current administration with written complaints regarding corrupt activities.
