A group of employees attached to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation on Saturday arrived at the Commission to Investigate allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

A producer and an assistant director of the SLRC were among those present at the Commission today to file complaints over irregularities that had taken place at the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.

Producer of SLRC, Dharshana Panangala said:

There are many producers and officials within the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. Our allegation against these persons are losing our audience from the SLRC.

He noted that there are also financial allegations. The programmes which tarnished images and reputations of individuals in a degrading manner with the use of false propaganda ended on the 9th. The National Television which was branded as going shopping for the government, is no more in that positions. President Maithripala noted the manner in which the media will be used. Over the recent past over 90 percent of the employees were under much pressure over various issues.
