Police has commenced investigations on the attack carried out on the Ambalangoda residence of the UPFA parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardena. The Police Media Spokesperson ‘s office said that the MP’s house was attacked with a petrol bomb at around 8 on Tuesday night.
A window of the first floor of the house had been damaged due to the attack. It is reported that no one was injured in the incident. Police noted that only a security guard was present at the house at the time of the attack.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated that officials of the Police CID have been called in to take fingerprints of the location and that no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
