The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has announced that Maithripala Sirisena has expressed his consent to partake in the proposed debate between the two main presidential candidates.

President of the Bar, Attorney-at-Law Upul Jayasuriya, speaking to reporters said that they expect President Mahinda Rajapaksa to also accept the invitation.

We have informed him that if  he is too busy to come for the discussion to at least connect with us via phone, via Skype or even via satellite.
