New Democratic Front Presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena has sent a letter of demand for Rs.2.5 billion from Health Minister Tissa Attanayake.
The letter of demand has been sent over inconvenience caused by Tissa Attnayake over the preparation of a forged document, and using the media to gain publicity for it. The letter reads that Maithripala Sirisena had not reached any agreement with Ranil Wickremesinghe on November 1.
Furthermore, Sirisena points out that the document which Tissa Attanayake presented to the media was a forged one and accused Attanayake of defamation by presenting a fake document. He added that the objective of Attanayake was to please the current political leader.
