Mayor of the Hambantota Muncipal Council, Eraj Ravindra Fernando who was arrested on the charges of attacking a street drama crew and the opposition leader of the Municipal Council has been released on bail.

Bail was granted after the mayor was produced before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court.

Mayor Eraj Fernando was placed in remand custody after he surrendered to police on Monday
