Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the Executive Presidency will be abolished and a parliamentary election will be called for.
This meeting took place on Thursday evening in Ingiriya under the auspices of Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and several others.

Speaking on the occasion, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed the following views:
There is no freedom nor is there a Sri Lanka Freedom Party. It is just there for namesake. This is a massive issue in the country. Is there democracy in the country? There is an autocratic system. We need to change this. We need to abolish the executive presidency and call for parliamentary elections. One party will win and the other will be the opposition. We need to create a strong opposition from this
During the Opposition Leader’s speech, an individual acted in an unruly manner.

Responding to the manner in which the individual acted, it was stated:
Please be seated. I think he has had too much ethanol

After the 8th all of this will be stopped. We will stop drugs and ethanol together
