We fall so we can get back on our feet and come back stronger and better. Australian pace bowler Sean Abbott did just that when he bagged an amazing 6 wickets for 14 runs following the ball he delivered few weeks ago at a speed over 128kmph which killed fellow Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes.
Sean Abbott who was a former team-mate and friend of Hughes, took the toll harder than anyone else Following the death of Phill Hughes two weeks ago. Abbott attended his funeral and was consoled by Hughes’ family and other cricketers, who urged him to resume playing. And resume playing he did.
Every Australian, Cricketers world wide and fans alike wondered how Sean would get through that dark day. How he would return and how he would perform upon his return. Well, he gave his answer not too long ago. On the very ground where he delivered the fatal ball that killed young 22 year old hughes, a determined abbott made an amazing comeback by taking 6 wickets out of Queensland while giving away just 14 runs to secure an amazing victory for New South Wales by an innings and 80 runs. He was even on a hat-trick after taking back to back wickets of Chris Hartley and Cameron Brimblecombe but missed out when Luke Feldman survived the next ball.
Sean Abbott received a well deserving standing ovation from the Member’s Stand as he left the ground after the match.
