Journalists quizzed the subject minister on Friday on allegations pertaining to the use of SLTB buses for a public rally held in Anuradhapura, on Thursday.
Minister of Transport, Kumara Welgama shared these views:
I am an honest senior SLFPer. It is true some of us have left and it is true that Maithripala left after being with the party for forty eight years. But Kumara Welgama will never leave the party. I would gladly like to state that I will be with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party till the day I die.
Journalists also questioned the use of SLTB Buses for the public rally held in Anuradhapura on Thursday.
Minister of Transport, Kumara Welgama said;
This is my stance. If someone pays for a bus then I will give it. If someone affiliated with the TNA requests for a bus on payment terms then I will provide a bus. Because I was given the buses on a lease. So if I get a good price then I should give it, yes?
