Tensions have arisen between SLTB and Private Bus Employees in Negombo. Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the security has been tightened in the area to avoid any confrontation.

The Police Media Spokesperson said that tensions were the result of a number of buses being involved in transporting passengers defying the relevant time regulations

Riot police were also deployed to the Negombo Bus Depot on Thursday afternoon
