Deputy Leader of the United National Party, Sajith Premadasa expressed his concern about the manner in which rations which were not distributed during the drought, are now being distributed ahead of the upcoming presidential poll.
The elections have just begun, and lo and behold, Dansals have sprung up across the island. In the past, Temple Trees was called Temple Trees, but now we have to call it the Temple Trees Dansals. A love and concern that has never been seen before, is now being displayed towards the citizens of this country. I have a question to ask, Why is this Temple Trees Dansals being operated only during the Presidential election? There is no relief for the drought victims. They are operating a bribe system ahead of the election.
MP Sajith Premadasa expressed these views at an event held to donate money to the Baeragama welfare society in Medilla, Ambalantota.
