The Ministry of Disaster Management has taken steps to open bank accounts for the children displaced in the Meeriyabedda landslide.
Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that Rs.3.5 million rupees is due to be deposited in the accounts of the 58 children who were displaced in the disaster.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Land Reforms Commission Harigupta Senadheera said that steps have been taken provide land for the individuals who were displaced in the Meeriyabadda landslide.
Meanwhile, Central Sector Commander Major General Mano Perera said that they have taken steps to build 72 homes for the displaced.
